silva is better... plain and simple

and the punching game isn't just about reach, i have never seen anyone in MMA with as good bending skills as silva (bending is when you duck down and go up to hit), which gives him a hella big advantage against the few hitters in MMA who are usually in-fighters or punchers, so...

the thing is GSP is improving leaps and bounds and lets be honest cannot see him getting beat. he embarressed Penn which is no easy opponent

One thing that was actually disappointing was GSP lacks Damage.I am a GSP fan but man he had SEVERAL chances to hook BJ's arm under his leg and REALLY lay down some punishment,instead he kept going back to the wrestling lock.He also had his elbow on BJ's head several times and could have raked it acrosss for more damage,it seems GSP is content with just wearing you down,he needs to learn more elbow damage and more ways to lock up control on the ground ,other than just wrestling locks.For now he can get away with being a passive wrestler,but eventually he may need to evolve into more of a punisher.

First let me say anderson silva wouldnt let frank shamrock touch him .. did you see what Nick Diaz did to lil OLD shamrock... shamrock is a bad fighter IMO

2nd there will never be a BEST in mma.. its mma.. but if you want to consider a guy that is the best the credit goes to Lyoto Machida since he has not lost a round in ufc.. and is undefeated in his mma career now that is good ... and it is the karate era not only karate era the era of Machida karate he will be a legend...

I think george is a bit more well rounded than Silva, but Silvas standup is on a super saiyan level. Silvas well rounded too, but perhaps he may have a weakness on the ground that wrestlers can take advantage of, real good wrestlers bc Silvas jits is no joke. I dont know whose better. George is a better wrestler, but Silvas a better standup fight bc he just has so much at his desposal. Hes extra elusive and has a few unorthadox techniques. He seemlessly transitions from Muay thai to boxing. They are both incredible though.Lyoto is incredible 2.

Ok...I'll give you that Fedor loss.....1 out of 32, but trully I consider him as the n°1 fighter to ever be in MMA....no one's been as dominant and has defeted in such a bad way to the best fighters in his time (Minotauro, Crocop) back in the good old PRIDE days, maybe noone of those are actually the best, maybe neither is Fedor, but one thing for sure, no fighter has acomplished what Fedor has.

You obviously are not that MMA smart. Frank Shamrock in his prime would be a very tough fight for anyone especially Silva , Silva has a weakness it is a strong wrestler who has good top control. Dan Henderson and Chael Sonnen both showed that, Shamrock is a good solid wrestler with great top control. He could hold Silva down and threaten with subs and ground and pound. He would not get caught like Sonnen did. Same goes for GSP, GSP would take down Silva at ease and hold him and control him. GSP could either grind out a decision win or a sub in one of the later rounds when Silva gases.

silva is a pure counter striker look at the Demian Maia fight. most of his wins come from counter punches. and he didnt goto the grounbd against Demian Maia so he must not be too confidence in his ground game. Travis Lutte, Dan Hendo, and Sonnen are the only people hes ever tapped out in the the UFC. hes not a dominant ground fighter by any means. its not like he tapped sean sherk.

gsp is smarter than those guys his stand up game is smart to if u knew fighting you would see that he dominates on the ground but switches styles easy and hes still growing as a fighter.about lyoto that loss was bad but u grow and learn as u go the return of the dragon is comming.anderson is an great stand up fighter but a ready cung le would be a great match with any of them,but gsp is just to good at mixing it up gsp #1 rite now
