But i think you have to look at the caliber of fighter anderson silva has faced. Hes only fought three really good fighters in his UFC career. Rich Franklin, Dan Henderson, and Chael Sonnen. And the two guys who did somewhat well against him were wrestlers that were able to get it to the ground but got submitted. I don't think GSP gets submitted on the ground if he's on top and he most likely won't even end up on his back. Anderson most likely has the advantage on the feet but as GSP says he fights fighters were they are weakest which in Anderson Silva's case is the ground. Before the Sonnen fight i would have said GSP has no chance but he exposed a huge weakness in Silva's game. His takedown defense and his ability to stand up once taken down. Now i actually think it would be a good fight in which GSP would stand one hell of a chance.

GSP beating anderson silva @ 170 is very possible but @ 185 its a BIG MAYBE... Chael only had the performance he had because Anderson's ribs were broken/injured and chael was on PED's... Having a guy clinch you and lay his body weight on you for five rounds on your bad ribs for 20 something minutes is like YOU having a fat guy on top of you putting his knee on your balls... while punching you...

When they rematch if chael doesn't get suspended/kicked out the ufc for cheating your gonna see a healthy silva frustrating chael cuz he can't get him down and will probably get knocked out on the feet... and if it does go to the ground silva will submit much faster... people forget that he is a black belt in jiu jitsu and your never outta the woods if you do get him on his back...

Yushin Okami isn't gonna be a threat... they fought once before its one of silva's highlight knockouts...

If GSP and Silva fight its not gonna be like GSP and Alves there both intellegent fighter's and people forget that silva's not a weakling he is freakishly powerful for his body type look at any of his fights except UFC 117 and you'll see when he hits guys they have this look of disbelief like they never been hit that hard... I dunno who wins if GSP takes him down and keeps him down he's got it... if he can't KEEP him down he's screwed...

No matter how good you wanna try to claim Silvas striking is (Which it IS top of the line) he got outstriked by Chael that night, and Chael is a decent striker, but not top level. And yet he STILL outstriked Silva. G.S.P. would just eat Anderson. If he couldn't stop Chael or hold him on the ground when he got on top (Chael rolled silver over on his back with just his upper body) he doesn't have a chance in hell of controlling G.S.P. George is stronger then Chael and faster with MUCH better all around abilities. Silva would just get dominated on the ground, and if George was the agresser like in the Chael and Silva fight, Silva couldn't stand with him either. That rib injury was bullshit in my opinion. If it was TRULY bad enough that it would have affected his performance, then he would not have fought. Period. He has been pissing off people with his last fights, making them last longer then needed by dancing, or just flat out sucking (Chael fight). G.S.P. is just to big, to strong, and to fast for Silva. And thats not even taking G.S.P.s MMA experience into consideration. Anderson is still bar far one of my favorite fighters, and MUCH much respect to the man, he is ALREADY a hall of famer in my eyes, but as of late I am simply just not happy with they way he has been doing things. He is pulling a BJ Penn in my opinion, not taking fighters seriously or something.
